It's overdue, I know, but Happy New Year to everyone. I had every intention of blogging at the beginning of the year, but after writing out a heartfelt, in-depth review of 2009, I accidentally erased my entry and was just too exhausted to sit and do it all over again. Here's a summary of what I wrote: 2009 was a good year. I met good people. I played a lot of shows. I saw a lot of places. The Yankees can suck it. 2010 is going to be even better! There - now we're up to speed. New Year's Resolutions:
1. Finish new material and release a new record.
2. Journey to new cities and small towns in the hopes of getting more names on my mailing list.
3. Learn how to drive a stick shift. Or how to speak Spanish. Either one is wishful thinking at this point.
4. Start smoking. Then quit again.
5. Become the World's Top Unicyclist!
6. Learn how to ride a bike.
7. Take training wheels off of my bike.
8. Start writing things in their proper sequence.
9. Prove the existence of underwear gnomes.
10. Finish my list of New Year's resolutions.
I feel like I'm off to a good start.
Big show at the Tin Angel on February 12th in Philadelphia. I'll be unleashing a few new tunes and sharing the stage with Joe Firstman. Should be a doozy.
